I have lived in many places.  Minneapolis has my heart, Nashville is where I had my babies, and Arizona is my home in the making.  I am visually in love with Arizona in a way I have not been anywhere else.  The wide open spaces, the sweeping views, the sunsets, the mountains and the lovely cactus and desert terrain.  It is amazing here.  Eye candy every.single.day!

I have worked since 2013 to create an amazing organization and community of oilers, Joyfully Oily.  I make more money now than I did working full time but I have the JOY of staying home with my kids and working at a JOB (joyfully oily business) that doesn't feel like work.  It is a blessing I did not expect when I started.

It is a lot harder being a mom to kids who aren't babies.  I know for some people the baby stage is the hard part, not for me.  Yes, I was always tired, but I didn't feel lost.  I feel lost a lot with my kids getting older.  Which means I am humbled more and I need more support and help than I ever have. And I pray. A lot.  Lucas is 3 and Judah is 6.  They are as different and unique as can be.  What works with one does not with the other.  So there's never a dull moment.  And that's a fact.

My husband, Lance, is a pilot by day and a project man by night.  He has a business, WyldeByrd Art, where he repurposes things and creates something new.  I will highlight some of the things he has created and the life of a junker from my point of view I am sure in my posts.  The nutshell version though, we have a side yard with like maybe 2 airplanes in pieces (I am not exaggerating) stacked nicely in piles for when inspiration hits.  There are tailgates and emergency exit doors and endless Mustang car parts to be found if you ever stop over.

Our home is a work in progress. We've been in a new build for just over a year.  We still haven't painted, but we have done some fun projects to make it our own.  It has 12 ft ceilings and it's very "arizona" so it's been a challenge for me as someone who loves to decorate and create lovely spaces in my home.  But a good challenge and one I am enjoying.

So I guess that's all I have to say about that!  You'll get to know me more as you follow along with the things I share.  I can't wait to get to know YOU too! Comment and say hi!
